A-One Au Pairs & Nannies

Many years of experience gives you the best results!

A-One Au Pairs recognises how important it is to bring the right person into your home to be an au pair and look after your children and your home.

We cannot stress enough the benefits of having an au pair through a reputable agency, and A-One Au Pairs follows a strict code of conduct laid down by the International Au Pairs Association and the British Au Pair Agencies Association of which we are a founder member. The standards set by both these organisations is the highest possible and they only accept agencies that adhere to these standards.

All girls / boys placed in families by A-One Au Pairs come to us through a network of over 40 reliable agents abroad. They interview the au pairs, obtain references, medical certificates and make sure the prospective au pair is fully aware of her responsibilities and duties before she arrives in the UK. All these are supplied to families before they invite the au pair to join their family. Police checks can also be obtained.

The agents abroad with whom we work, know that A-One Au Pairs only accept people with a reasonable understanding of English, and families are encouraged to speak to their au pairs before inviting them to join their families.

By speaking to an au pair not only will a family be able to assess their English, but get to know the personality of their prospective au pair. When your au pair arrives we will send her/him a very detailed 'welcome pack', we will also speak to them once they arrive, and help with the settling in period, help with suitable language courses, and help to find friends, etc.

We offer a complete 'back-up' service to both the families and the au pairs. We are always available throughout the au pairs stay to give advise, and mediate when needed for example, holiday pay, use of telephone, language barrier, working hours, etc.

A-One Au Pairs will always give you guidelines of au pair duties. Au pairs live with you as part of the family and must have their own bedrooms. Home Office regulations
state that an au pair must be placed in English speaking families. We will do our best to help you.

"We are a family run business, together with our staff, we are always here to help. We provide a back up service throughtout the au pairs stay in the family home."

By engaging an Au-Pair from A-One Au Pairs & Nannies you will be dealing with part of the larger HILSAM GROUP OF LIMITED COMPANIES. Whose agencies include:

Over the past 50 years, these agencies have built up an excellent relationship with many European Agents, and we therefore always have a very large selection of Au Pairs of all different nationalities available for you to choose from.

All Au Pair Agencies are governed by HOME OFFICE rules and our Agency abides by these rules. Home Office regulations state that an Au Pair must live as part of the family, have their own bedroom and be placed in families where only English is spoken at home, and receive a reasonable pocket money.

Remember other agencies may point you to dozens of internet details, but we carefully and personally send you a selection of Au Pairs who are available and whom we think meet your personal needs.

Why not give us a ring (IT’S NICE TO TALK!!) or fill in our on-line APPLICATION FORM, and we will get right back to you. We are here to advise and guide you……A-One Au Pairs & Nannies for that personal touch
